Awesome food awesome service!!

Ate there for the first time today after it came highly recommended by a friend! Best Mom&Pops cafe in Rapid City! Delicious food and lovely, homey atmosphere and great, friendly service.

There is nothing not “corporate” about thus places food. NOTHING is homemade. The pancakes were thick n overcooked, the biscuits were store bought and the gravy was an add water mix and the fruit was from a can. I just returned from a deployment and this food took me back to Army Defac only now I was paying for it. The drinks were even $3.50 for a glass of juice. That seemed a lil high but definitely wasn’t the biggest issue. For three of us (2 adults and one 5 year old) our bill was $40. Overpriced for a $2.50 military meal. After eating this food for almost a year n coming back.... I know what corporate, mass cooked, outta the box food is and that is exactly what this was. Should have went to Perkins. Recommend to avoid. Service and environment was good however if ya don’t mind eating subpar food....

An Uncomfortable place to eat. The owner made me feel like I shouldn't be there. Not a very friendly atmosphere. The food was alright. Had the biscuits and gravy not bad but I will never eat at the morningside cafe again.

Cozy place, friendly staff, comfort food. Nothing exceptional about the food, but it's the perfect kind of place for quick and simple breakfast with no fuss and no over-conceptualized menu items. It's a traditional "greasy spoon " in all the best ways.

Well got to the place and looked really dated. Reviews where all good so thought we would give it a try. Pancakes where nothing special, breakfast sandwich was small and it said it came with mixed fruit and all I got was canned peaches. My sister got the biscuits and gravy and a few bites into it found hair in the gravy. So if you get the gravy watch for hair.

This is a great place I go here every time I go to Sturgis breakfast are amazing staff are super friendly. Not a complaint cuz when you're this good you're going to be busy but there is always a wait so like they say early bird gets the worm. It is a smaller mom-and-pop place so this is very understandable the wait has never longer than 5 or 10 minutes it is definitely worth the wait

It was exactly what we expected and wanted. A very small place to eat tucked away in a small building of suites with a small menu but HUGE taste! Next time we're in Rapid City, SD. we're most likely going to eat there exclusively.

I really like this little out of the way small town feel of this place. The food is good and the staff is friendly. Besides how can you not like a place where they keep your coffee cup filled and the waitress calls you “Hon” every time😃

The food here is fantastic, not a very big place. We are from out of town and have been looking for great food and service. Service was outstanding. Wish we weren't leaving so soon in the morning.

Awesome! Always a pleasure to be there. Staff (Kelli & Dan) are absolutely great and make it a real nice experience. Food is great, one of a few places that actually know how to poach eggs. Really enjoy everything about this restaurant.

Really nice, busy local place with friendly service and good food! I love homemade corned beef hash and they did not disappoint. My husband likes his biscuits and gravy and he inhaled his breakfast. If you are in Rapid City this is a must stop for breakfast.

We had the best experience. We were staying in Rapid City during our vacation and found this gem for breakfast. We got to participate in conversations happening between tables, which gave our time there a welcome feel. As we were leaving, another customer snatched my bill from my hand and paid it for us! The food was really good. Portions were appropriate for breakfast. My eggs were exactly the way I like them. We will be going back before we leave.

The owner of the Gold Star Motel recommended this for breakfast and we are so glad she did! Good food, great staff and very clean. We ate breakfast there every morning. Loved seeing all the John Wayne memories on the walls. We will be going back when we return to Rapid City!

Great place for breakfast. The decor is nostalgic and genuine, a lot of John Wayne stuff. We were there on a Friday morning at 8AM. It was busy, but not crowded. The waitress was really nice. Food is standard diner fare, but done well. We all had pancakes and eggs. They were great! Highly recommended.

Great place. Excellent breakfast and friendly/attentive staff. The food was first rate, delicious and reasonably priced. My son and I were here for two days and had breakfast here both of them!

Nice people. They always have great food.

The place is clean and homey. The food was good. The coffee was hot and delicious. The Server was funny and cheeky. Wonderful. They didn’t bat an eye when one of us brought our own hot tea bag and provided piping hot water with a smile. Outside in a strip mall, but don’t be scared it is so worth the homestyle meal inside.

This is a cozy, homey and friendly place to eat. The food is great and the service is amazing. It feels like a nice home cooked meal rather than a corporate meal like many places
